George Gershwin – Američan v Paříži
George Gershwin, syn ruských židovských imigrantů, se narodil v Brooklynu v roce 1898. Jeho nadání pro hudbu se projevilo již v útlém věku, kdy začal hrát na klavír a komponovat. Navzdory nedostatku formální hudební výchovy se stal jedním z nejuznávanějších amerických skladatelů 20. století.
